For one night only Johnny Coppin & Richard Trethewey join forces for a night of truly perfect acoustic music.
Johnny’s gorgeous and seemingly effortless vocals have graced the acoustic scene since the
emergence of the band Decameron in the early 1970s. He is a talented singer and
songwriter, playing both piano and guitar, and this year is the 50 th Anniversary
of his solo career with concerts throughout the UK.
Over the years, he has played many times in Cornwall, at venues from Port Isaac to
Penzance - initially with Decameron, then solo and at duo gigs with Mike Silver, and with
Phil Beer (Show of Hands).
Johnny has over fourteen albums to his name, including The Winding Stair, Borderland,
Edge of Day with writer Laurie Lee, and his most recent album River of Dreams.
His songs are essentially British, and always melodic and evocative.
Johnny last played in Cornwall in 2024, joined by Cornish singer Richard Trethewey who will
again be offering a support set and joining Johnny for a few numbers in his set too.
